Graduates of the Seton Hill College Coordinated Program in Nutrition/Dietetics are prepared to function as entry level practitioners in health care facilities, community agencies, school food service, and other practice settings.

The Registered Dietitian (RD) is nationally recognized as an expert in the field of food and nutrition. To become a Registered Dietitian, you are required to meet eligibility requirements established by The American Dietetic Association (ADA).
The Coordinated Program in Nutrition/Dietetics at Seton Hill College is currently granted accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation/Approval for Dietetics Education of The American Dietetic Association, 216 W. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, 312-899-4876.

At the end of the sophomore year, students apply for entrance into the Coordinated Program. Acceptance into the coordinated program is competitive, as there are a limited number of positions available. Eligibility requirements for the Coordinated Program include a minimum of a 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale in science courses. Qualified Seton Hill students are given preference over students transferring from other institutions. Post baccalaureate students are encouraged to apply.
To remain in the program, students are required to maintain a minimum of a 2.7 GPA on a 4.0 scale in science and family and consumer sciences courses.
GraduatesGraduates of the Seton Hill College Coordinated Program are clinical dietitians, specialists in nutrition support and diabetes care, entrepreneurs in private practice, researchers, business owners, community nutritionists, and directors of hospital and school food service operations.
