Welcome to the Pre-Health Professions within the Biology Program of Seton Hill University. Our Program allows you to prepare a solid foundation either for further education toward a career in medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, optometry, occupational therapy, or physical therapy, or for an exciting career in biological research or medical technology. We are especially proud of the developmental aspect of our program, which is centered on encouraging the student to grow as a person. We hope you will join us.

Program Mission

The Biology Program strives to:

     1.  teach students the fundamental       

           principles of biology;

    2. provide opportunities for students 

          to become independent, creative 

           individuals;

      3.  encourage students to become 

           aware and informed about ethical 

           issues which arise from modern 

           technology;

      4.  provide programs for in-depth 

           preparation for students who plan 

           careers related to biology.
